 A Bio On The "Power Jock" Fred 3 |

 By Joyce A. Williams of Detroit, Michigan...Freelance Writer 1-01-06. From out of the midwest hails Frederick D. Murrell III, known to the "Party & Karaoke Society" of all ages as "The Power Jock" Fred 3. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, the flava of Rhythm and Blues, the beat of Hip Hop, the sway of 2 Stepping Swing and the pizzazz of Jazz are all embedded in his musical psyche. With the likes of such greats as "Count Basie" and "Johnnie Taylor" who both grew up around the area as well as members of the renown singing group "Bloodstone". Is it any wonder that "The Power Jock" Fred 3 would come out of the same electrifying pool? Fred 3 is a "Power Jock" indeed! Bestowed the title of "The Power Jock" by well known and legendary Kansas City radio personality, Dell Rice (KMJK/MAGIC 107.3/FM) during the late 70's and early 80's while assisting him and other radio personalities with the Boys & Girls Club Marathon fundraisers and other various events. Two other well known legendary radio personalities, Chris King (KPRS 103.3/FM-Hot 103 JAMZ) and Freddie Bell (KPRT 1590/AM) were also role models for his distinctive D.J. delivery and "Old School" play. Fred 3 has an extraordinary way of moving his listeners and setting the mood. He will usually be seen out in the crowd with his cordless mic socializing and leading line dances or singing to the ladies while asking everyone if they are having a good time. He plays to the people asking what they want to hear. He keeps the party pumped! "The Power Jock" has been blessed with tenor vocals that caress the heart and stir the soul. He has been said to resemble and even clone the mellow, smooth deliverances of modern day legend, William "Smokey" Robinson! When that comparison was put to him by some, he humbly answered, "I don't know about all that, but I have always loved Smokey's distinct voice, showmanship and play on words writing ability. Ohhh...yes! Tenor-wise and writing, I've always tried to pattern him" The "Power Jock" Fred 3 among many, feels he has done just that! A very handsome persona, in his own right, he is both magnetic and charismatic. We're looking forward to his debut CD and more of his unique D.J. & Karaoke presentation. Unassuming in character, this musical marval is truly a quiet storm that is full of thunder!   This is my favorite toy and creation...Redbone!
